1. The service
NewFoodLeads emails you a weekly list (Monday mornings) of food businesses we newly spotted on the Food Standards Agency (FSA) Food Hygiene Rating Scheme register, for up to 3 councils and the business types you choose. Each entry shows the business type, council, postcode district, our "first spotted" date, and a link to the official FSA page. The email also has an "Earlier find" section: premises already on the register when we started watching a council that are still awaiting their first inspection. This is public information, not advice. We do not guarantee that every new business is found, or that any entry is accurate, complete or up to date. Premises that are not on the register, or that a council has not published, will not appear.
2. Who this is for
NewFoodLeads is for professional and business use only. By signing up you confirm you are buying for your trade, business or profession and not as a consumer. If you are not, tell us before you pay and we will help.
3. Price
{{PRICE}} per month for up to 3 councils. {{VAT_STATEMENT}} Prices are in pounds.
4. Payment and renewal
You pay by card through Stripe. Your subscription renews monthly until you cancel, at the price then shown. If we raise the price we will email you at least 30 days before it applies; you may cancel before then and will not be charged the new price.
5. Cancelling and refunds
Cancel any time yourself through Manage billing (link in every Stripe receipt). You keep the emails until the end of the period you have paid for. 14-day refund: if you are not happy, email us within 14 days of your first payment and we will refund it in full, no questions asked. Otherwise we do not refund part-periods unless the law says we must. Unsubscribing from the emails does not cancel billing.
6. Where the data comes from
The data is published by the FSA (ratings.food.gov.uk) under the Open Government Licence v3.0. Contains public sector information licensed under the Open Government Licence v3.0. NewFoodLeads is independent. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by the FSA, any council or any government body. We do not use FSA rating images or logos. Dates marked "FSA data as at" are the FSA's extract date for that council.
7. Personal data in the register, and your duties
The register can include sole traders' business names and home addresses. We remove street addresses, phone numbers and emails, we hide any name that looks like a personal name, and we hide premises with no postcode. If you contact a business you found through us: you are responsible for complying with the law, including UK GDPR and PECR. Do not email sole traders or most partnerships without their consent. Check TPS/CTPS before phoning. Say where you got their details. Do not pretend to be the council or the FSA.
8. One subscription per business
Do not resell or republish our emails. You can forward them to people in your own business. Please do not scrape, crawl or use bots against the service, or bypass its security.
9. What we are and are not
We are not a sales, legal or compliance adviser and we do not contact businesses on your behalf. Nothing in the emails is a recommendation to contact, or a statement about the hygiene of, any business. "Awaiting 1st inspection" does not mean a business is new or unsafe: much of it is council backlog.
10. Our liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything the law does not allow us to limit, including your rights as a consumer if you are one. Otherwise we are not liable for lost profits, lost business, lost opportunity or indirect loss, and our total liability to you is limited to the greater of the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and £500. The service is provided with reasonable care and skill, and may occasionally be interrupted.
11. Changes to these terms
We will email you at least 30 days before a material change takes effect. You may cancel before it does and will not pay anything extra.
12. Law and courts
English law and the courts of England and Wales apply, unless your registered office or main place of business (the address you gave at sign-up) is in Scotland or Northern Ireland, in which case the law and courts of that country apply. Nothing limits a consumer's mandatory rights or right to sue in their home courts.
13. General
These terms are the whole agreement between us about the service. If a part is unenforceable the rest stays in force. No one else has rights under them. We may transfer our rights and duties to a company that takes over the business, and will tell you. We are not liable for delay caused by events outside our reasonable control, including the FSA or a council not publishing data. Complaints: email {{CONTACT_EMAIL}}; we reply within 5 working days.
